2. Rome, Italy
It’s true, Italy is a country that has some of the best European cities to visit, better yet, the best cities to visit in the world and you need to make a point of visiting at least one! For our list we chose Rome, this city has an unbelievable amount of attractions that you would need a lifetime to explore. You can spend any amount of time here and find 100 reasons why you want to go back. When in Rome, you must eat as much Italian food as you possibly can and embrace the dolce vita lifestyle, we promise you, it’s worth it!
3. Amsterdam, The Netherlands
This European city is known as the Venice of the North. The beautiful city of Amsterdam has an amazing city with tons of culture, Canals permeate the city creating an amazing calm and relaxed atmosphere across the city. Getting around the city is easy, it’s small enough that you can walk to many of the big sights, you can cycle in true Netherlands style or you can go by boat. A big concern that some people have about visiting European cities is the language barrier, but you don’t have this problem in Amsterdam as everyone speaks English.

4. Prague, Czech Republic
Many people visit Prague because it’s one of the most popular European cities in East-Central Europe. The allure of the historic baroque architecture, welcoming population, amazing nightlife, shopping and events, our list could go on, are all reasons that draw people to the city. But don’t visit just because everyone goes here, visit because there are many amazing things to see, do and explore in this city.
5. Budapest, Hungary
With its long history, strong culture and stunning skyline, the Hungarian capital is an ideal European city to visit. 9. Ljubljana, Slovenia (Lake Bled)
Ljubljana is Slovenia’s capital city and is one of Europe’s hidden gems. This city has a history, beautiful architecture, green surroundings and friendly people that astounds more visitors every year. The streets are filled with bars, cafes, and restaurants where visitors can taste the cuisine of the country. If you visit this city, you must take a trip to Bled, no words can prepare you for the beauty of Lake Bled (pictured above).
10. Dublin, Ireland
Finishing off our Best European Cities to visit list is Dublin, the Fair City! Everyone has this city on their bucket list and it’s easy to see why. Experience a completely different atmosphere here, the city is bustling 24 hours a day 7 days a week. You will never get bored in Dublin, as there are too many things to do. Find out how the famous black drink is made at the Guinness Storehouse, or if Guinness isn’t your thing you can visit the Jameson Whiskey Distillery. Take a tour of Kilmainham Gaol, go deer spotting Phoenix Park or shop ’til you drop on Grafton Street.
